Nolan is a born and bred Texas filmmaker, currently living abroad in Arkansas. He brings ten years of experience writing, directing and producing narrative and documentary films.
After studying screenwriting and directing actors at the University of Texas, Nolan turned toward the human rights documentary sector to start his career. His first feature film, Malatya, was a guerilla documentary that sold over 12,000 DVDs and aired on cable networks on 5 continents, despite its shoestring budget. He followed Malatya with a host of short documentaries, promotional videos and media projects for non-profit organizations, helping raise over $2,000,000 for charities in Texas and Arkansas.
With 100 projects under his belt, Nolan turned his attention back to the cinema, and produced a short screwball romantic comedy called Last Shot Love, which received rave reviews from audiences, critics and producers across the entertainment industry. Due to the audience's demand for more, Nolan adapted Last Shot Love into a feature script which has been described by one sales agent as "the best script in the romantic comedy genre currently on the market."
"In ten years of working as a writer, director and producer, I have learned that I can make audiences cry and I can make audiences laugh - but I prefer to make them laugh."
